...to the website of SDT, an international organization with its main office in Münster, Germany. We are a network of tourism consultants, academicians, development experts, and people interested in the positive impacts of tourism.

Our objective is to support and disseminate information about best practices and positive impacts of tourism in small, medium and large sized tourism projects around the world with a strong focus on disadvantaged regions. Best practices will be accounted for by our members' work- and project-related experiences. The promotion of best practices in tourism aims to facilitate progressive and constructive processes in tourism.

Our scope of work rests upon four main pillars:

Support of on-site projects in partner countries
Advocacy and awareness raising in Europe and beyond
Working paper series to foster theoretic and empirical research in the fields related to our work
A strong network which will also involve members from non-tourism sectors and engage them in the dialogue on sustainable development through tourism
